The JPE is a refereed online and paper journal in the field of economics and the philosophy of science. It is published bi-annually. The journal publishes papers in English, but German and French may also be accepted as languages of publication.

The format of articles follows the following general scheme. They begin with the proposed title of the paper, and then an abstract, which is a one-to-three-paragraph summary of the paper. The introduction describes the background for the research including a discussion of similar research. The body text may require several kinds of tasks, including: Argument reconstruction; Objections and replies; Application; Original argument. The conclusion section places the research in context and describes avenues for further exploration. Avoid using person pronouns: I, you, your, we, us, or our. Leave footnotes out when you can. Text and references should all be single-spaced. If your article contains photos, send accurate copies of them, suitable for reproduction. The articles must be prepared for anonymous refereeing. On a separate sheet of paper, please include:
The proposed Title of the Paper; The Author's name, qualifications and affiliations (if any); The Author's full postal and email addresses. Authors of articles will receive one copy of the JPE free of charge.

The decision of the Editorial Board on the acceptability of any submitted article is final, and correspondence will be not be entered into in relation to any submission which is not accepted for publication in the Journal.

Only materials for which the author holds the copyright should be submitted to the journal. Authors of articles published in the journal assign copyright to Rosetti Educational Publishing House.
